Manchester United defender Eric Bailly has stated categorically that Jose Mourinho is the best manager in the world.
The 22-year-old also explained that he would love
to work continue working with the tactician because he has settled at
Old Trafford since he arrived from Villarreal in June in a deal
reportedly worth £30million and has made 11 appearances this season.
"He's a great manager, the best in the world, it is a pleasure to work and learn with him," Bailly said. "I hope it continues like this and that I stay at United for a long time.
"I'm truly happy, with my team and my team-mates. Bit by bit, I'm getting to know more."
The former Villareal player however in his
comparison of the La Liga and Premier League said the two leagues are
quite different.
"From what I see, football in Spain, they also have a great league," Bailly said.
"La Liga is the best in the world, but here it is different, very direct, there is more contact and more strength.
"And
like I said, little by little, and with more training under this
manager, I hope to improve. Manchester is a nice place, I'm happy here."
Mourinho joined Manchester United on May 27, 2016, when he signed a
three-year contract the club. He also has an option to stay until 2020.
