In December 2016, Cristiano Ronaldo's agent Jorge
Mendes said his client rejected a mega deal from a Chinese club which
wanted to lure.
The 31-year-old Portuguese international claimed he is not motivated by the money the anonymous Chinese League side offered him.
''So this is important for me, to be the No. 1, the most valued
player. But this is not my motivation. My motivation is to play
football, to be the best, and this is what I try to do. I'm looking to
money only as a means to become comfortable and independent after I
finish football.
''I am not motivated by their money because I am happy playing for Real Madrid,'' Ronaldo explained
Cristiano Ronaldo's 2016 was baptized with lots of achievements both for Real Madrid and the Portuguese national football team.
