Cristiano Ronaldo named Best European Sportsperson 2016.
Cristiano Ronaldo will end the year 2016 with
another prestigious individial accolade.
His club side Real Madrid announced that the attacker has
been voted the best European sportsperson of 2016 by the 27 international news
agencies.

Ronaldo won the Champions League, Club World Cup
and European Super Cup with Real Madrid and the European Championships
with Portugal.
The prize has been awarded
since 1958 by the Polish agency PAP and is chosen by the votes of
journalists representing each of agencies.
Cristiano beat tennis player Andy Murray, who was second, and the Hungarian swimmer Katinka Hosszu.
In 2016, Ronaldo won his fourth Ballon d'Or and his second UEFA Best Player in Europe award.
He scored 55 goals (42 for Real Madrid and
13 for Portugal), the last four in Japan where he picked up the Golden
Boot in the Club World Cup.
